“ A very nice place, and the food is absolutely delicious! I had khachapuri and honey cake — I was happily full. Everything was served very quickly, and the service was great. The waiters were attentive, though I wish there were a few more smiles. Thank you, I’ll definitely be back! ”
“ Great Armenian restaurant with traditional decor offering wide varieties of dishes and areni wine. Service was good overall and the dishes were tasty. Happy to see this restaurant in a close proximity to Calouste Gulbenkian Museum. The coffee was shown with 3 types of compotes on the menu. However, the server mentioned only one is served. ”
“ Ararat is a true gem in Lisbon. The food is delicious—especially the grilled meats, dolma, and fresh lavash—and full of authentic Armenian flavor. The hospitality is warm and genuine; you feel like a guest, not just a customer. A soulful and memorable experience. Highly recommend! ”
“ The atmosphere is amazing, I love the history lesson on the Menu. Super unique. The food was so good I wanted to tip 100%, but this is Europe and there isn’t a tipping culture. The service was amazing Said/Saeed allowed me to charge my phone, and would take it off so I could take pictures of the food and put it right back on. They even made me a dessert I wanted after the kitchen closed. I don’t write reviews often but if you want amazing food, great service and great atmosphere for a reasonable price you cannot miss here if you’re in Lisbon. ”
“ It was amazing! As an Armenian, I can say this was the most delicious Armenian restaurant we’ve ever been to. The food was just wow, the service was excellent, and the interior was beautiful. Thank you so much! ”
“ Delicious food, amazing service and beautiful restaurant too. The Armenian white wine was an awesome surprise. Nothing disappointed, including the desserts and the Armenian (Turkish, really) coffee. ”
“ A case of a restaurant which chose to transform its menu into a book expliaining the story —or lack thereof— of every dish they serve. It’s actually sweet and the waiter let me keep the menu during the whole meal! Other than that, the meal was exceptional; rarely have I had the chance to eat deer steak. This is the place for endless discoveries. Personal recommendation: finish with an Armenian coffee. ”
“ Finding an Armenian restaurant in Portugal was a pleasant surprise. After a week of local food, I was craving something different — and this place delivered. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, and the service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Highly recommend! ”
